I worked with Year 3 from Southwood Primary school, Dagenham for the ‘Magnificent Plants’ project creating a sculptural installation at the memorial garden in the school. Year 3 students explored clay and jesmonite, and created cast jesmonite petals which I fixed to the metal flower structures later.

The project was focusing on art and science, the three giant flower sculptures have the correct scientific parts. Reinforcing the students' learning of their 'Plants' science topic, and providing a teaching resource for other students moving forward.
